Makeup Bag Musts

makeup bag necessities, fall makeup, in my makeup bag, acne makeup, bareminerals foundation, therapy systems makeup, therapy systems brushes, lash domination, pressed powder foundation, eyeshadow base, makeup blogger, beauty blogger, nashville blogger

I by no means claim to be a brilliant makeup artist or that I know everything there is to know about makeup, but I have had the pleasure to work with some brilliant makeup artists who have taught me heaps & pointed me in the right direction along the way. Today I am going to share with you my makeup bag. These are my 'necessity' pieces that I always have in my makeup arsenal. So lets dive in shall we?!?

Lets start with the base.

Foundation - bareMinerals READY Foundation with SPF 20 has been my go-to for 2 years now! Its a pressed-powder, so its great for absorbing oil but isn't messy like loose powder. (I wear Medium Beige).

Bronzer - I swear by the fact that if you put any foundation on you have to apply some bronzer, especially if you are going to be in photos. I use bareMinerals READY Bronzer in the shade "The Deep End".

Blush - Brand new blush that is perfect for fall! Its by Therapy Systems and its called "First Blush" (color not available online, so call your local store).

Finishing Powder - This is a must for me because I have oily skin & powder helps keep me looking fresh. I love "Illuminating" Mineral Veil from bareMinerals (it has a wee bit of glimmer to it & you know I love some sparkle!)

Concealer - Under eyes & blemishes... this stuff saves my look daily! bareMinerals SPF 20 Correcting Concealer in shade Light 2

Brushes - The neccessities! (from left to right) Concealer Brush / Blush & Bronzer Brush / Powder Brush / Foundation Brush

Now the fun part, the eyes!

Brow Finish (top left) - I brush this onto my brows to make them look fuller as well as get them closer to my hair color. I use Therapy Systems Brow Finish (04)

Eye Liner - I use Therapy Systems Cream Gel Liner in Onyx because it doesn't smear/crease like pencils but it gives you extreme accuracy & precision in application versus liquid liner. (You need the last brush on the right to use for application)

Eyeshadow Base - I use bareMinerals 5 in 1 cream eyeshadow in Candelit Peach as a base under all my shadow or on its own every day to make my eyes look awake. I wear this every single day! It is one of my MUSTS.

Eyeshadow - MAC creates some of the best shadows hands down. I love there pigment tubs, they last forever & I prefer applying the loose powder versus the standard eyeshadow (to me the color is always more vibrant).

Mascara - I just started using bareMinerals Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara. I really like it so far because of the brush. The bristles are close together but are rubber, so it does a great job at separating the eyelashes so they don't clump. I have long lashes, so I always love the mascara that darkens & divides the lashes & this does just that!

Brushes (the 2 tall brushes) - The one of the left is what I use to apply my brow finish & the the on the right is what I use to apply my eye liner.

That is all of my make up musts & recommendations! Would love to hear about any new products or tools that you highly recommend in the beauty department. If you do, leave a comment below because I am always open to trying something new. Thanks for reading & let me know if you have any questions!
