A Little Bit Rock n' Roll

Vest - Free People / Top - Free People / Jeans - J Brand / Shoes - Nine West

Just because its made of leather and studs doesn't mean it can't be girly!
Pair a heavy, rock 'n roll look with a light weight, twirl-able piece to create a match made in heaven.
A little bit rocker, a little bit princess. You get the best of both worlds.

Doily Jeans

Jeans - Free People / Top - Madewell / Necklace - Carolee / Shoes - Franco Sarto (similar)

Doily Jeans. Yes that is what they have become affectionately known as by some of my male friends. Well I love my "doily" jeans. They are really comfortable & make quite a statement without using loud colors. They are the best to wear when I don't really want to think about what matches. I just grab these jeans and throw on any simple, basic top and I am good to go.  I look fashionable without much effort because the jeans do the work.

Celebrate Earth Day In A Fashionable Way

Have you stopped by H&M lately? You really should so you can see their line called "Conscious" which is named for all of the companies hard work that is focused on a more sustainable fashion future.  "Conscious" Collections, Actions, and Products are at the core of the companies corporate and fashion initiatives. This year, H&M created two unique collections made from more sustainable materials,  launched a global garment recycling program to reduce waste and partnered with Global Green USA, WWF and WaterAid.
So this Earth Day if you are trying to decide what to do and don't have a green thumb like me, consider following H&M's example and recycle some garments that you are no longer wearing (95% of what people buy goes into landfills - so recycle your clothes!) or buy some earth "Conscious" pieces that are made with sustainable materials. You can be fashionable and love the earth at the same time like these ladies are:
1 / Jessica Lowndes 2 / Jessica Stroup 3 / Victoria Justice

Wearing sustainable materials is looking pretty fabulous and because it is H&M you know it won't break the bank. So celebrate the earth today by recycling your old garments and by spending a little green on some sustainable fashion. Happy Earth Day!

Men's Wear Monthly - Effortlessly Cool

I laugh whenever I hear guys talk about how they don't have as many fashion options as women. Yes, this is true that women do have more options but now-a-days there are countless possibilities out there for men as well! Crew, henley, v-neck, wide, slim-fit, tank, long-sleeve button down, short-sleeve button down, polo, hoodie, vest, sweatshirt.... those are just a few of the top options for men and that doesn't even include jackets (point proven!) Guys have options! So I want to take the chance to start featuring some fly guys who have fashion swag and embrace all of the fashion options that are out there.

I'd like to introduce you to Herbert! You will be seeing him more on Scuttle. He my friends, has fashion swag. He is rocking a casual weekend ensemble that doesn't break the bank. Effortlessly cool without looking like he is trying to hard.

Hat - J. Crew / Pants - Gap / Shoes - Goodwill / Shirt - Macys

Come on guys, you can do it! Explore those options.

On The Grid

Jeans - Free People / Peplum Top - Express / Heels - Joan & David / Sunglasses - Jessica Simpson

These are one of the most comfortable pair of jeans I have ever put on my body! When you find those jeans that fit you like a glove you want to wear them everyday of your life. My issue, those jeans for me just happen to be a bold black & white "grid" print. So needless to say these aren't those jeans that I can get away with every day (but every other may work ;) If you see me wearing these 3-4 times a week don't worry, I'm not broke... I'm just in love!

Do you have a denim love too? Please tell me I'm not alone!

Young Designers Collective

I want to share with you this super cool New York based association called the Young Designers Collective. It is this fabulous group of designers and artists who teamed up together to form this association that designs for non-profit organizations to promote good will! How fantastic is that?!? Not only do they support some amazing non-profits but the designers and artists who are a part of this are up and coming, so this association gives them a great platform to get their name out there and launch their career as well. Here is a great quote that really shows you their heart:
"We provide young designers a platform that would have otherwise been difficult to build and gain recognition with on their own. In an ever-shrinking world, working together to achieve success has never been more important. We allow for a free exchange of ideas and talents, thereby fostering the growth of artists and art in commercial design. We want to bring appreciation back to the artist behind the designer, to quality or handmade products, and to a more sustainable future."
Does that not make you absolutely fall in love with them? What a fantastic environment to work and create in. I wish I could (to bad I am not a designer) be apart of it because it sounds like the greatest atmosphere full of positive energy and support. I highly recommend checking out the Young Designers Collective site and reading more about them and seeing the beautiful work the designers have created thus far! fashion supporting non-profits, it's a match made in heaven!

If you are fascinated by photo shoots like I am check out this behind-the-scenes video from their photo shoot of pieces they donated to the Heart & Soul Charitable Fund:

Silly + Spring Sparkle

Shirt - Free People / Jeans - J Brand / Shoes - Mix No. 6  / Purse - Free People / Sunnies - Jessica Simpson

As you know, I love sparkles! If you have followed me for any length of time you will already know that. I bought this beauty in February as a birthday present to myself (please tell me I am not the only person who does that?!?). It was on major discount at Free People so I scooped it up and have been waiting for the sun to peer little little head out so that I can finally wear it. Well my time has finally come!!
