STEAL! Initial Ring

These days I am all about the initials!
Remember like 9-10 years ago when the whole initial fad was really in? It was like a constant Lavern & Shirley show happening in real life. Everyone had the purses & shirts with their initial on it. Well I was (and am still) a wee bit bitter about that fad because I NEVER found an "H". At the time if I couldn't find an H then I was flat out of luck because my maiden name started with an H as well! So I am so happy that it is coming back around & that shopping on the internet is the way to go because now I can finally get an H!! I bought an initial necklace at Top Shop the other day & my heart is so happy.

I love this ring, so simple & dainty. Plus its only $12, I'll take two please!

I Finally Gave In To Thrifting

I am not usually a big thrift store person. The idea of not knowing where the items have been & whether they have been washed kind of freaks me out. I know, I know... I'm special. But while in NYC I began to overcome my rather odd fear. My good friend Tabitha took me to a great store, Buffalo Exchange, and I fell in love (she will tell you that I may have become a wee bit addicted). This little number here is a thrift store find from Buffalo Exchange & it is probably my most favorite clothing piece I own right now. Oh how the tides have turned in my life. More thrifting in my life to come.
Just for Fun! Random prop we found on the photo shoot:

Party Crashing? A First For Me!

After dinner one night my friend Tabitha was planning on taking us to this adorable 50's
inspired desert stop in Brooklyn called Farmacy. After she had raved about it all day & we took the long scenic walking route to get there, we finally arrived but to our dismay a private event was happening. Luckily for us the host, Topher, was so nice & let us in to join the fun.
This man was making the dreams come true! Whipping up the best milkshakes, I dare to say, in
New York. Here he is hard at working, maybe making mine???
The Farmacy has the cutest, retro decor without being over the top. You really felt like you walked into an old school soda shop straight out of a Beaver Cleaver episode. I felt like I should hop up on a stool at the bar, spin around a few times & ask for my usual (thankfully for the staff there I refrained :).
Everything from the workers outfits to even the tip jar was down pat. Perfectly themed.
Some of the cutest decor!
Here were our choices and the special menu for the night. My float is the one on the bottom left. I got the last float on the menu, the Flatbush Ave Float that was made with chocolate egg cream with a scoop of ice cream... delicious! Great choice. ALWAYS say yes to the egg cream option.
These are the two lovely ladies that I went with! Tabitha (long time friend & stylist in NYC & Alyssa, owner of We Like We Love)
Here is our host Topher serving up the the glory in a cup! He was even dressed in the theme... very dedicated he was.
 Their super cute business card.

I am happy say that I do LOVE the Farmacy, it will definitely be a trip requirement every time I visit NYC for Fashion Week. If you live in the area or are planning a trip out there, make sure you stop on by. It is in such a great neighborhood in Brooklyn, you will love the whole experience. Promise!

1 - High Tops from Top Shop: Am I a high top tennis shoe kind of girl? Heck No! But I love these.
Top Shop has a way of making me try different styles that I wouldn't normally.
2 - New Dainty Necklaces. Every day I am usually wearing one of these beauties.
We have here a cheap Top Shop initial find & a Tiffany's anniversary present.
3 - Mantra Bamboo Phone Case - It is so SO cool. I love this case so much.
It's bamboo, what isn't to love about it?
4 - Top Shop Purse - My friend brought this home for me from Vegas,
her 6 year old daughter thought it was for her... nope its for her grown, married
friend. I am not ashamed!
5 - H&M ring - My favorite NYC find & it was a whopping $5. Yes! I love steals!

So tell me, what are some of your favorite things right now??

All That Is Missing Is The Biebs

I usually don't wear t-shirts or baggy shirts and this top is both of those.
I really love this shirt because it is so comfy, soft & it has a English flag on it,
what more can one ask for in a t-shirt? All it needs is a picture of Justin Bieber on it
and it would be the best shirt ever made. I guess Beatles lyrics will have to do instead ;)

Oh Wow! Really?

Oh the things I saw at Fashion Week.
There was definitely some interesting people and outfits along the way. I wanted to share with you a few of my favorites (not the best photos, I was trying to discretely take them with my phone):
1 - A rock god wannabe
2 - Sweetest little man who hand painted he suits for every day
3 & 4 - Yep... those are fluorescent knee pads
5 & 6 - Its Cruella Deville! She came to fashion week
BUT this one definitely takes the cake:
Really?!? A onesie at fashion week?
