STEAL - Initial Watch

Plus FREE shipping & 30% off with the code: CYBERMONDAYSPECIAL

If you are a follower of My Scuttle you will know that I love things that have an initial on it! Especially now that I have been able to actually find my initial (what am I talk about? - find out here). So naturally I love this watch. I have started falling in love with watches thanks to the influence of my friend Brittany over at Swell Studios who has a wee bit of an obsession with watches.

I love the color brown of the band, it looks worn & more expensive then it actually is. Don't be fooled if you go to the page & look for your initial & can't find it. You have to go to the main watch page & you will find your initial because each letter is a separate listing.

A good Christmas gift for those hard people on your shopping list, I think so! Thank you Asos for this watch steal!

Trend To Try - Shorts In The Fall

Boots / Tights / Shorts / Top / Watch

I know what your thinking... Shorts in the winter?!? YES! It can be done.
At first I was a little skeptical but now I am sold. I am all about making my clothes work year round & here is a great way to do that. These shorts are a great pair to wear in the colder season because they are a heavier material & they are a dark color. You may have difficulty making your cut-off neon yellow shorts look wintry.  So pick a pair of shorts that are a darker color or a tweed/wool material. Put a pair of leggings or tights on & a pair of boots. You can do short or tall boots but put a pair of socks with them that will peek out of your boots, it helps keep you warm & helps it look more season appropriate by covering more of your legs. Match the shorts with a typical fall/winter top like a wool sweater or a long sleeve button down. Still not fall enough for you? Add a scarf, it will take it to the next level.

Your Fashion Trend Equation:
Dark Color Shorts + Tights + Boots W /Socks + Long Sleeve Top

Wrapping Paper & Bags!

CHRISTMAS!! It is upon us & I am so prepared. I spent the long holiday weekend decorating, making holiday crafts & wrapping all of my Christmas purchases so far. This year I wanted to do something special for my wrapping paper that was fun & very me. So I made my own wrapping paper,  it is super easy, cheaper then typical wrapping paper & I am so happy with it.
I bought a roll of kraft paper at the craft store, a circular sponge paint brush & some acrylic paint.
I stamped away! I created wrapping paper....
and gift bags! I just used plain old kraft paper bags that I had lying around. Let the paint dry & wrap away!
I am so happy how it turned out, I can't wait to give the presents out. 29 days and counting!

Have a great Monday! Happy Holidays :)

Just Because

I know I am biased because I am her mom, but she is so stinkin cute. I love my chi-weenie!

DIY - Glitter Party Nail!

If you are a crafter you are probably like me and have an assortment of glitter. Well glitter nail polish is all the rave right now but instead of spending $8+ on a bottle of nail polish, whip out your craft box and just make your own! It is super easy, I did it at my desk the other day while I was procrastinating on my work.
1 - Coat your nails with a base coat (if you are doing a party nail like I did, paint the rest of your nails the color you want them. I used OPI "little time")
2 - Pour the glitter you would like to use on a sheet of paper and spread it out. The more the glitter is piled together the more will get on your nail. I wanted alot of glitter, so I piled it all together. If you want to just have a sprinkle of glitter only pour out a little and spread it out on the paper.
3 - Lay your finger flat on the glitter and roll it back and forth. The more you roll the more glitter you will pick up. So roll it once & look at it to decide how much more you want to do or if you need to add more glitter.
4 - Remove the excess glitter by taping your finger tip on the paper.
5 - Cover the glitter with a top coat 2 times & VIOLA! Your own glittter nail polish.  Cheap & super easy.

You can also paint your nail a color and do a lite coat of glitter over it to make a SUPER party nail with both color and glitter, just make sure you only pour out a little glitter and spread it out alot or else it will go on heavy and you won't see the color on the nail.

If you try your own glitter nail make sure you send me a picture of it!!! Tweet it at me @LoveMyScuttle or share it on my Facebook Page

If You Could Only Pick One Designer

If I Could Only Wear 1 Designer
phone case / necklace / polka dot bag / skirt / bow tie bangle / high heels / hunter green & black  / turquoise bangle /  bright side bangle / navy bangle

If something crazy happened in the world today & I was forced to pick only one designer to wear for the rest of my life, without hesitation I would hands-down pick Kate Spade! A fashion line that as all about class. The pieces are timeless & are what Audrey Hepburn & Jackie O would be seen in if they lived now. Oh Kate how I love you!

So if you had to pick only one, which designer would you pick?

My Animal Sweater Pride!

I know what your thinking, "You bought an animal sweater!!" after I ranted and raved in last weeks post about wanting one. Well, I have actually had this one for 2 years now, I was on trend before it was even a trend! I love this sweater, it makes me giggle & it is super fluffy & comfy. This look is to show that an animal sweater can be dressed up & be quite chic. Don't think that if you get one you can only pair it with old jeans & tennis shoes & wear it only on the weekends or to the grocery store. Wear your animal with pride & dress it up with a great pair of skinnys & heels.
Embrace the animal love this winter!
p.s. - Don't forget to enter the the BareMinerals foundation GIVEAWAY!! Today is the last day!
