Wear It Big & Bright

Skirt - H&M (similar)
Shirt - Old Top Shop (love this one!)
Blazer - Necessary Objects
Wedge Sneakers - Bakers (similar)

The big question I had last week was, what does one wear to New York Fashion Week? Well I have learned... whatever you want! There is no dress code. I have seen everything from daisy duke's, a statue of  liberty look-a-like & a onesie,  to head to toe Prada or Miu Miu. There is no specific style that is or isn't appropriate. There is only one rule, an unspoken rule. The rule of dressing for fashion week is that your goal is to out dress everybody else. There are photographers everywhere & everyone wants to be asked to have their picture taken because that means that they are fabulous enough to end up on a streetstyle blog or in a magazine/newspaper. So wear whatever you want... just make sure you wear it bigger & better than everyone else.

  1. I love this, its great advice for dressing with confidence in everyday life too! I know too often I overthink my outfits and worry about how I look, if I look put together and what other people will think. This outfit looks great by the way!

  2. i LOVE that green blazer. i'd be a bit nervous to feel out of place or something at fashion week, but then again, maybe not. i love that the goal is to 'outdress' others - so true though
