wheeew! These past few days have been the most packed-out, non-stop days I have probably ever experienced. When NYC has a fashion week they do not play around! My first two days here were spent at the IFB conference that was so much fun (pictures to follow)! Yesterday was the first day on the runway. I was at two of the runway shows yesterday, Tadashi Shoji & The Supima Design Competition.
Tadashi Shoji
It was absolutely breathtaking. My friend & I actually teared up because the combination of music (he played Sigur Ros), color & movement was just outstanding. There could not have been a better to show to kick-off the runway week.
The first part of his collection was made-up of these gorgeous knee-length/floor-length, boat neck dress that were made with the most elegant embroidered lace material I have ever seen. Here are as few of my favorites:
The next phase in his collection consisted of these beautiful piecework dresses.
The top of the first to dresses was pleated & then flowed out to the floor. The fabrics
he used was so gorgeous, they are bold but not over the top.

And last but definitely not least came the gowns. The gorgeous, gorgeous gowns that every girl dreams of wearing. My favorite is the cream one (the 1st picture). It flowed so beautifully when she walked.
